FINAL WELD (FW) - A low heat cured vinyl
and leather compound that once cured can be lightly sanded
using 400-600 grit sandpapers. This compound is a very strong
base compound used on vinyl, padded dashes, punctures in leather,
arm rests and for repairing thin vinyl using your Ultratorch
and Iron attachment.
GRAINING COMPOUND (GC) - A white silicone
compound used for making grain impressions. Using approximately
one ounce of compound per pad, mix with six to eight drops
of the catalyst, then pour the compound on the area you wish
to duplicate the grain. Spread evenly with a palette knife
and let dry. After a time you will create a library of different
pads with various grains that can be used repeatedly again.
GRAINING COMPOUND CATALYST (GCC) - This
is the catalyst for the graining compound. Use six to eight
drops of the catalyst to one ounce of compound.
GRAINING PAD SET (GP-S) - We have compiled
a set of fifteen graining pads with the most popular grains
embedded in them. These pads have a vinyl backing to help
you identify the pattern on the grain and to protect your
hands from the heat.
GRAINING PAPERS SET (GPS-6) - A set of
6 different thin papers (3" x 8") with grains to
be used with our heat iron to reproduce your grain.
T-12 THINNER (T/12-2) - This thinner
is used on Vinyl Repair Compound to thin out the compound
should it start to thicken up.
VINYL MESH (VM) - A fine nylon mesh sprayed
with a fiber coating to give added strength. Used for reinforcing
vinyl repairs. By putting a thin layer of Vinyl Repair Compound
on the surface, then a swatch of Vinyl Mesh, followed by another
layer of Vinyl Repair Compound, you heat weld the repair together
like a sandwich for strength and durability.
VINYL REPAIR COMPOUND (VRC) - Used to
repair vinyl by using a heat welding process. Our compounds
come in regular and thick. We also stock various colored compounds.
VINYL SUB PATCH (VSP) - Used for reinforcement
underneath the area to be repaired. Cut a piece about one
quarter of an inch wider than the damaged area, then secure
in place by using BOND CA or vinyl repair compound.
VINYL SUB PATCH (VSP-A) - A reinforcement
material used exactly as basic (VSP) except for one side contains
its own adhesive.
