Table of Cyanocrylate Adhesives

BOND/CA (PT-08) | FLEX/BOND (PT-32) | ZAP-A-GAP (PT-02) | SLO-ZAP (PT-20) | POWER GEL (SPG) | BOND KICKER (PT-15) | DEBONDER (PT-16)

  • BOND/CA (PT-08)
A very thin cyanoacrylate. Use this instant curing adhesive for tacking operations on plastic and urethane bumper repairs. It is not recommended for cloth or leather since the thinner adhesive will absorb into the material and will result in a large, noticeable hard area. On dash repairs it is useful for cementing the edges of broken PVC. This adhesive is used with Micro Balloons & Plastic Powder.
  • FLEX/BOND (PT-32)
A gap filling, more flexible adhesive which retains texture and bonds more porous surfaces. Most used of all the adhesives, can bond cloth seams together by applying a small amount to both surfaces (in small increments), gather together and hold with lock tweezers, then use accelerator. Create texture on hard plastics by dabbing Flex-Bond with a piece of foam, accelerating, then scuffing with 320-400 grit sandpaper. Do not use on large areas as cracking will occur on flexible substrates. Flex-Bond cures slower which allows repositioning of mating surfaces.
  • ZAP-A-GAP (PT-02)
This is a "non surface sensitive" adhesive, which means it will bond to surfaces other adhesives will not. It allows you to bond vinyl, leather and plastics even when the surface is contaminated with oils, silicones and mold release agents. The medium viscosity allows you time to position your components before it cures. Try using on vinyl welting to bond back in place.
  • SLO-ZAP (PT-20)
This is a high viscosity adhesive with maximum gap filling qualities. It will have the slowest curing time of all the adhesives.
  • POWER GEL (SPG)
The thickest of all the adhesives. Use where maximum filling is required or where an instant heavy texture is needed. Power Gel is so strong that it can fix rips in vinyl in areas where flexibility is not critical. Can be used on armrests, dashes and console covers.
  • BOND KICKER (PT-15)
Used to accelerate drying time of all our cyanoacrylate adhesives. Apply with a brush, sprayer or dropper. Apply the kicker first to vertical surfaces to help stop run off. When using Power Gel apply to both top and bottom to ensure curing all the way through.
  • DEBONDER (PT-16)
Removes cured cyanoacrylates from skin and other surfaces. Apply and let soak into adhesive before wiping with a clean rag.

Note: Keep all adhesives at room temperature or lower to extend shelf life.

Spray Texture Information

TRAINING VIDEO AVAILABLE

Superior Restoration Products offer several different ways to texture your repairs. With our wide variety of textures to choose from you will surely find a match for all your texturing needs.

SEM CHIPGUARD | FLEX-TEX SPRAY GRAIN | WATER BASE SPRAY GRAIN | CLONE-IT & CLONE ACTIVATOR | MIRACLE DASH TEXTURE PARTS A & B (MDTA-MDTB)

SEM CHIPGUARD (39803) u TEXTURE COATING (39853)

These spray grain textures are available in aerosols or quarts. You can achieve small to large bumpy textures depending on how heavy you apply these products. You may also vary the grain patterns by sanding when completely dry, or by dabing with a piece of foam while the product is still tacky. A graining pad can be used over the top of Chipguard while still tacky.

FLEX-TEX SPRAY GRAIN (3800)

Flex-Tex is a unique blend of materials designed to be used for retexturing repaired areas on plastics, bumpers and panels.. It should be applied with a spray unit of some type. You can vary your texture by how heavy your application is. You can sand when completely dry to knock down your texture.

WATER BASE SPRAY GRAIN

Use this water base spray grain to form various textures and also over the top of other grains to completely blend in your repair. This grain works excellent for graining areas where heat cannot be used. You can vary your texture depending on heavy the application is and sanding the finishing product.

CLONE-IT & CLONE ACTIVATOR

Superior carries two different Clone-It products, Leather Clone and Plastic Clone. Both of these products are a two-step process. These products will allow you to acheive the exact grain without using heat. When you are ready to grain, spray a light tack coat over the entire area you are graining. Wait about fifteen to twenty seconds, then spray a wet coat on. After making a graining pad with the same texture you will spray your activator on both the pad and your repair area. Then press the pad over the repaired area and hold for about thirty seconds. Now dab off the excess moisture to see the grain. Repeat until desired texture is achieved.

MIRACLE DASH TEXTURE PARTS A & B (MDTA-MDTB)

MDTA is sprayed over the repair area followed by a coat of MDTB. The heavier the coating of MDTA is sprayed, the deeper the grain pattern. The heavier MDTB is sprayed, the wider your texture will be. Let MDTA dry for about 10-30 seconds before applying MDTB. Repeat untill you are satisfied with your results.

All products carried by Superior Restoration Products have undergone a through and extensive field testing before being offered to you our valued customers.

Note: You may use more than one of the above products in conjunction with one another to create different grains and patterns.
